In VACANT STAND, the poets' collective CAUSE, in collaboration with filmmaker Tom Elswijk, depicts the zeitgeist of a generation that finds itself on the wrong side of a gentrifying society. Against the sometimes colourful, sometimes dystopian backdrop of an empty TAC in Eindhoven, the poets express their concerns, fears, dreams, and delusions. Captured in a compelling way, we jump from romantic optimism to cynical complaints and see what remains of a generation in a crumbling underground: the word.<br><br>VACANT STAND has come to fruition with the help of Temporary Art Centre Eindhoven (TAC), filmmaker Tom Elswijk, and the poets' collective CAUSE. The project consists of six short films ranging from 2 to 5 minutes.<br><br>After the film, you will find a 1m2 stage in the film café of Filmhuis Breda with short performances by the poets from VACANT STAND. This programme is free to attend.
