The hospitality venue at Nieuwe Veste is named BOMEN, and there’s a good reason for that. In the terrace garden stand the oldest trees in Breda: black mulberries that were planted around 1780 in the garden of the then Villa Ocrum, one of the country houses. Nieuwe Veste was even designed to allow these monumental trees to remain standing.

At BOMEN, you can enjoy coffee with fresh cake, a wholesome lunch, or a drink with a snack both indoors and on the terrace under the mulberry trees.
