In the spotlight in Bavel: Korenmolen de Hoop

  • Bavel
In Bavel a beautiful unblemished mill from 1865: Korenmolen de Hoop. Inside the mill, there is an intimate and warm atmosphere. Outside, you will find a large terrace, lots of greenery, and a playground for the little ones. Here, you can enjoy good company, a snack, a drink, and genuine Brabantian hospitality.

Five generations of the Van Riel family worked as millers. In 1960, grandpa Jan van Riel decided to close the mill because it was no longer profitable. With the help of Monumentenzorg, Brabantse Molens, and the Municipality of Nieuw-Ginneken, Jan's children decided to restore the mill in 1972. They transformed it into a charming restaurant with a terrace and playground. Another fun fact: you can get married, celebrate special occasions, and hold meetings here.
