Stretch your legs! This short walk through the Gilzerwouwerbeek starts at the former Franciscan convent in the heart of Bavel. From here, you can walk straight into nature. Before 2012, this area looked very different. Meanwhile, the banks have been excavated and elevation differences have been created in the landscape. Ponds for toads have been dug and sandy paths have been created for walking. All of this allows this 17.5-hectare area to develop into a beautiful and varied nature reserve. Here, you can really unwind!
Tip: put on your walking shoes or boots.
