At gallery Ecker, the work of Susan de Boer, Jessica Knoot, and José op ten Berg is on display. They regularly follow each other's work and often exhibit together. In their longing for inhospitable and empty spaces, they recognize each other.&nbsp;<p><br></p>The attraction of a stony world, both in height and depth, in both the macro and micro world is explored. Paint is used as a means to cautiously articulate the unspeakable, or to express it very directly. The behaviour of the brush serves as a common denominator in the choice of subjects. Our environment, enigmatic, wondrous, disturbing, astonishing, and as mysterious as ourselves. The artists look around and report back.
