Instagrammable Breda

Breda is incredibly photogenic, there's no denying that. You can't stop taking photos of the idyllic streets and the fairy-tale views. These Instagram hotspots in Breda should definitely be featured in your feed!

The green door in the Catharinastraat

The most famous front door in Breda is the green door on Catharinastraat. Instagrammers regularly pose here in their latest outfits. They sit casually on the doorstep and just click away!

    De Grote Kerk

No matter which way you enter Breda, the Grote Kerk towers above everything. The church is the symbol of Breda, and the locals are very proud of it. Therefore, the Grote Kerk absolutely must not be missing from your Instagram feed.
Tip: At the intersection of Catharinastraat and Kasteelplein, you can capture the perfect shot with the characteristic, crooked little building of café ’t Tapperijke in the foreground. The Grote Kerk also looks stunning from Vismarktstraat.

    The Catharinastraat

The centre of Breda is bursting with Instagram-worthy backgrounds, but no street is as popular on Instagram as Catharinastraat. You’ll find the green door there, but alongside this photogenic building, the entire street is actually filled with beautiful houses where you can snap a photo. Take a stroll down the street and look up. And try to photograph the Grote Kerk from this street, at the height of the entrance to Valkenbergpark. Guaranteed success!

    The Cingelstraat

Another street that is often photographed is the Cingelstraat. Whether it's due to the magical light in the morning, the grand Queen Wilhelmina Pavilion, or the atmospheric lanterns, one thing is for sure: you'll capture a beautiful photo here!

    Valkenberg Park

The fresh green in spring or the warm colours in autumn, the Valkenbergpark is beautiful in every season. Photograph the ancient trees, the characteristic red bridge, or the Nassau-Baron monument at the entrance of the Valkenbergpark.

    Kasteel Bouvigne

This highlight of Breda also looks great in photos. The fairytale-like Kasteel Bouvigne, which dates back to the fifteenth century, is located on the outskirts of Breda, but is definitely worth a visit.

    Vlonderpad

Are you going for a walk in the Mastbos? Then a visit to the Boardwalk is a must. From the Vlonderpad, you have a view over the heath (which is beautifully in bloom in the autumn) and over the pond. You can take stunning photos here, whatever the season.

Note: The Vlonderpad is currently closed.

    Blind Walls Gallery

Breda is bursting with Blind Walls. It's one big museum on the street! And these artworks also look great in photos. You can find a whole collection of Blind Walls at the Mols Parking. Here, you can pose beautifully in front of one of the artistic creations.

    Hotel Nassau Breda

If you are on your Instagram tour through Breda, the building of Hotel Nassau Breda in Nieuwstraat should not be missed. This beautiful, pink building looks great in photos!

    Sint Janstraat

Wait until the sun shines at the end of the afternoon in Sint Janstraat and you are guaranteed to capture a top photo. The icon of the street is the St. Antonius Cathedral

    The Lighthouse

Have you always wondered why there is a lighthouse in the canal of Breda? The artwork 'The Lighthouse' has been on display since 1992 at the edge of Valkenbergpark. It's beautiful to photograph in the morning, but also as evening falls. Or when it is completely dark!
