From Teteringen you can easily reach the Lage Vuchtpolder, a place with a lot of history. The polder is a wet, marshy area. It was a difficult and at the same time a clever area in the 80-year war, because the terrain was flooded in no time. The redoubts (small fortifications) along the Zwarte Dijk are part of the water line near Breda. The polder is now being gradually returned to nature. And the meadow birds are more than happy about that. Hop on your bike and see the remnants of this important piece of history with your own eyes!
Tip: you can enjoy a lovely walk between Teteringen and the new neighbourhood of Waterdonken. Explore the new neighbourhood by the water and in the greenery!
