Bucketlist for outdoor enthusiasts
Walking through the Markdal
Just a short walk away from the city centre of Breda, you will find a lot of nature. One of these beautiful natural areas is Het Markdal. Het Markdal owes its name to the river De Mark, which flows through the meadows south of Breda. To prevent flooding, Staatsbosbeheer has allowed the Mark river to meander again. The natural areas along the riverbanks collect excess water. This gives nature every opportunity to thrive.
